Play! Pokémon 2011-2012 season rules revealed

The video game rules and clauses remain the same as the 2011 Video Game Championship events; however, the move Dark Void is now banned, making it the first move to be banned for reasons other than a glitch. Aside from the following, all Pokémon numbered 001-646 are eligible for use:

Birthday Togekiss distributed internationally

Last December, a male Togekiss with its Hidden Ability, Super Luck, was made available to players of Pokémon Black and White Versions who were members of the Pokémon Daisuki Club during their month of birth.
As discovered by Bulbagarden moderator Bluesun, seemingly without any announcement, the same Togekiss has been released internationally. There have been no known advertisements for this promotion on the official Pokémon site.

Pokémon celebrates 'Month of Zoroark'

The Pokémon franchise in America celebrates this month with various releases featuring one of the first Generation V Pokémon to be revealed: Zoroark.

Highlighting this event is the weekly Zoroark Sweepstakes available to all legal residents of the fifty states of America, as well as the District of Columbia, from Sept. 6 to Oct. 3. By entering their e-mail address (link available below), fans get a chance to win merchandise featuring Zoroark. Entering daily increases chances of winning, but only one entry may be submitted using one e-mail per day (12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. PDT).

Championship For Pokemon Video Game


Great news for all the Pokemon Trainers!! POkemon Video Game Regional Tournament will be held throughout United States and Europe and this competition will totally gets you going.The trainers that are tough enough will qualify and earn an invitation as well as travel award to participate the Pokemon Video Game National Championships that will be held in St. Louis, Missuori on June 27 and 28.

But the Competition just not end there, For those trainer who will win the National Championship will earn again an invitation and travel award and will go to the Final and the Ultimate Stage, The POkemon Video Game World Tournament. This will be held at San Diego California on August 14 and 15.

The Competition will take place exclusively using Pokemon Platinum Version.

Don't forget to watch out for the release of Pokemon Platinum Version this coming March 22, 2009.

Regigigas to be release also on Toys R Us


If Shaymin will be given out at Toy R Us stores from February 8th to the 14th. There is also another event in which Regigigas will be given away. It will start from March 8th through the 21st. The pokémon will come at level 100, in a Cherish Ball. Its moveset includes Crush Grip, Icy Wind, Iron Head and Rock Slide. It will also be holding a Custap Berry.

This event will allow trainers to unlock special areas in Pokémon Platinum where they can catch legendary pokémon Regice, Registeel and Regirock at level 30. It may beuse to catch Regigigas at Snowpoint Temple, level 1 in Platinum.

It is somewhat bizarre that the event ends the day before Platinum is released, making it impossible to get this Regigigas directly to your Platinum cartridge.

Shaymin Ready to Distribute at Toys R Us


Once again, the time has come! The next iteration of the Toys R Us giveaways will soon be upon us! From February 8th (Sunday) to February 14th (Saturday), every participating Toys R Us will be handing out Shaymins to every attendee! Luckily for those with a tight schedule, this event will last for an entire week, and will span through all open hours of the store.

Included in this giveaway, will be a complimentary Pokemon poster and a $5.00 Coupon for any Nintendo DS game.

Shaymin is a pure Grass-Type pokemon that has a balanced set of stats. His special ability is “Natural Cure”, which cures Shaymin of any status effect once it switches out. He also comes with his signature technique: “Seed Flare”, which is a 120 Power Grass-Type move that has 85% accuracy. Shaymin also has the ability to transform into his “Sky Forme”, which gives it boosted Special Attack and Speed at the cost of Defense and Special Defense.

So, once again, for all you virtuous non-hackers out there, you can finally get your hands on this warrior of the skies!
