Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Update

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorer of the Sky, has been confirmed by CoroCoro to be the next sequel for the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

Whats new?

-It has a five new starter pokemon. This include Phanply, Eevee, Riolo, Shinx and Vulpix, as well as the starter Pokemon of Explorer and Darkness.

- Munchlax and Meowth were removed in the starter pokemon, but still available as a partner Pokemon.

-The fundamental plot is the same, except with the addition of side missions to explain the background and aftermath of the plot, such as how Wigglytuff's Guild was formed and what happened to Groyvle and Dusknoir after they were returned to the future.

-Explained how Bidoof came to be in the Guild, with the aid of a Snover and Jirachi.

-Treasure Town is also to be expanded, adding Spinda's drink stand, which includes several different shops owned by different Pokemon.

-There is a new spin in the dungeons, too. It adds a secret staircase once per dungeon, which takes the player to an exclusive floor with four different shops on it.

-The number of Pokémon featured has also been expanded, now including Shaymin, Giratina's Origin Forme, the five formes of Rotom, and Arceus as recruitable characters.

-The storyline has also been expanded. Shaymin, Arceus, and Giritina are now part of the main plot. Also, along the way the player and partner are separated, proven by the fact that only the leader is shown encountering Arceus.


This game will be released in Japan this coming April 18th, 2009.
