The Pokemon calendar of Mcdonald Japan has been awarded by Guiness World Record for the most sold calendar in a year. The company sold 1,476,442 units during the year since its release on Nov. 6, 2009. Guinness World Records has acknowledged this achievement, with a celebration held in a Tokyo McDonald's.
The yearly calendar has been sold since 2006, where that year's calendar sold about one million copies. The 2011 issue is currently being sold in limited supply from participating Japanese McDonald's locations.
